One Mother of the Groom, Four Dresses

Jennifer's son is getting married in May. She likes A-line, strapless or sleeveless styles and thinks she wants to wear something in the blue/lavender or pink family. We had so much fun dressing her up at our latest photo shoot. Not all of these are right for a spring wedding, but a few could work for other dressy weddings (because where there's one, there's usually more invites to come!) and it's always helpful to try different styles; you just might surprise yourself.Ā

Teri Jon Metallic Jacquard Off the Shoulder

This cranberry color is a standout for any season, and punctuated with a textured metallic floral design elevates it even further. Plus, the off-the-shoulder A-line silhouette shows off all your best angles. Sizes 0 to 22. $740. Buy from Teri Jon.

Theia Strapless OrganzaĀ

The light layers of organza and soft watercolor floral give this dress an ethereal vibe; the ruffled skirt is as fun as it is forgiving. Sizes 0-16. $945. Buy fromĀ Saks Fifth Avenue.Ā

Alex Evenings Sleeveless Printed Ballgown

Classic ballgown style in a pretty jacquard print that hits the surprisingly hard-to-find blend of purples and pinks. $259. Buy from Alex EveningsĀ

Alexander by Daymor Tiered Chiffon Halter Dress

Black might not be right for Jennifer's spring wedding, but everyone needs a timeless black dress in their wardrobe, and this one is ready to party! The tiered chiffon is an instant confidence boost—it's just a fun, flattering style, which is why it's anĀ MOB favorite and comes in several colors. The blue or teal could be great for spring. $895.Ā Order from Dugo.Ā
