You might associate Anne Barge with wedding dresses, and that would make sense since the designer label has dressed Johanna Braddy, Kristen Cavallari, Taraji P Henson and many other celebrity brides and is a luxe go-to for discerning brides nationwide.
But Anne Barge applies that same flair for glamour and detail to its evening wear collection, Black Label by Anne Barge. And it's clear that Anne Barge designs its special occasion dresses with real womenâincluding mothers of the bride and groomâin mind.Â
Each dress in the collection can be made in sizes 0-22. And every look can be customized (check out MOB Dawn, who switched the color and added a detachable bow to her Black Label look). That's why the label is sold only through select boutiques and at its flagship store in Atlanta. (The New York Anne Barge flagship is bridal only; make an appointment at Flora on Madison to shop Black Label.) Gowns start at $1,970.Â
Let's just say you can feel the quality. Ali and Betsey recently tried on two Black Label gowns at Mother Of HQ that would be gorgeous for a wedding, whether you're the mother of, or a guest. Both dresses had just enough structure to keep everything in place without feeling restrictive. One tip: size up. and maybe up again. Let's just say the numbers surprised us, based on what we typically wear. But we felt far too pretty to get hung up about that!Â

The column gown seems to hug in the right places with a cuff neckline to add polish. Available in midi and floor length, and in a range of colors, although we couldn't love this floral-on-black print any more. Shop the Robyn
