Mother of: Malcolm
Venue: The Homestead in Willis, Texas
Vibe: Outdoor formal
Dress: Betsy & Adam from Nordstrom

Five years after meeting on a blind date, Malcolm and Madeline were married in March at the Homestead, a modern venue set on 22 grassy acres outside Houston. The ceremony took place on a patio overlooking the grounds at sunset.Â
The wedding colors were light pink, forest green, and gray. Mother of the groom Tina decided to focus on pinksââI wanted a flowing, formal rose gold gown,â she says, and she found it, at Nordstromâa cape sleeve dress with jewel neckline, shirred bodice and trumpet skirt. Covered, but a little bit sexy with its figure flattering gathered material and and dramatic cape, this Betsy & Adam style is a favorite, season after seasonâavailable in a variety of colors and sizes from petite to plus.Â
Tina says she loved the iridescent material, the cape sleeves, and the trumpet flair of the skirt.Â
Finding the exact style she had envisioned took a bit of time, but ânothing too stressful,â says Tina. And shopping in person helped. âThough online shopping is easy, to actually walk into a store and see/touch/feel the material and try a dress on provides a better experience.â
As for the wedding day experience, Tina says it was picture perfect, right down to the sunset portraits. âSeeing the bride and groomâs wedding vision all come together was so beautiful.â
