Ashely envisioned summer pastels for her July 2025 wedding to Joey: bridesmaids in the palest blue; flowers in soft pinks, blue, and buttery yellow. Mother of the bride Lisa focused her dress search on pastels as well. It didn’t take long to spot a sky blue gown she loved: Teri Jon’s one shoulder, side ruffle silver metallic jacquard. A bit deeper blue than the bridesmaid dresses, the dress gave Lisa her standout MOB moment while coordinating with the rest of the wedding party.
“I wanted a comfortable, elegant gown, and I knew it was the one,” Lisa says. “The color, material and texture were exquisite.”
The wedding took place at Ravenwood Golf Club in upstate New York, near Rochester— a venue that allowed for an indoor/outdoor event, which both bride and groom wanted, with a backdrop of golf, which Joey loves.
My best advice for mothers of the bride is to be involved, enjoy planning the wedding, and most importantly, enjoy the wedding day,” Lisa says. “The excitement of getting ready with the bridal party is delightful.”
