Following a ceremony at the grand St. John the Apostle church in Philadelphia, Patrick and his longtime sweetheart Kellie celebrated their July wedding with a dinner at the majestic Ballroom at the Ben—where Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence danced their way to Academy Awards for Silver Linings Playbook.
A setting so epic called for a special dress, and mother of the groom, Erin, found hers online: a light blue metallic jacquard with an asymmetrical neckline by Rickie Freeman for Teri Jon.
Erin’s dress goals were straightforward: sophisticated, youthful, comfortable. “I started looking early, so I never felt much pressure,” she says. “I didn’t want anything over the top.”

Slim fitted but not tight, with a slit in the back to make those dance moves easier to nail, Erin says her dress was “comfortable and forgiving."

She paired the floor length dress with strappy, jewel encrusted Badgley Mischka block heels. And for the dinner dance, she stepped it up another notch with silver opera gloves.
The beautiful whirlwind of a day culminated with Patrick spinning his mother around that iconic dance floor to “My Girl.” “There are so many precious memories from the weekend, but that’s probably my most cherished," Erin says. "I’m still singing it in my head!”
