Brendan and Jessica met the old fashioned way: in a pub. “She was with her friends and he was with his friends. Some of the friends knew each other, and the stars aligned.” Brendan and Jess started dating in 2018. They got married on Long Island in June.
Mother of the groom Eileen found her dress the old fashioned way as well: by shopping in person. “I scoured the internet and really didn’t find anything,” Eileen recounts. “I knew I had to head out and find the perfect dress by pounding the pavement and trying some on.”
The wedding theme featured shades of blue and Eileen knew she wanted to wear navy. “I also knew I wanted a texture. I felt that a navy dress with texture would be super figure flattering. I also knew I did not want sleeveless.”
Long Island boutique Omnibus Fashions was Eileen’s second, and final stop in her dress search. There, she found exactly what she’d envisioned: a textured navy, off the shoulder gown by Terani Couture. Fitted at the waist with a jeweled detail and ruffle down the side, it offered arm coverage just where Eileen wanted it. “I knew the minute I put it on that it was the one,” she says. “I loved how I looked and felt in the dress.”
