Mother of: Samantha
Venue: Milk & Honey Ciders, St. Joseph., Minn,
Vibe: Bridgerton meets brewery
Dress: Chiara Boni La Petite Robe

Becky had a plan for her daughter Samantha’s wedding last summer: dress conservatively and blend in.
“I don’t like being the center of attention,” this mother of the bride says. She knows the styles that make her feel at ease, and so she reached for a navy halter neckline in Chiara Boni La Petite Robe’s magically slimming scuba material. “From the moment I put it on I felt confident, elegant and completely at ease, which is exactly what you hope for on such an important day. The fit was so flattering and forgiving, with just the right structure to make me feel secure without feeling restricted.”

But then she found out the style, fit and flare floor length with side ruffle, also came in fuchsia. “Do I dare?!” Becky wondered. The bride was definitive: Yes.
“The color was so stunning, it even became part of my husband’s father of the bride speech,” Becky says. “His punchline? ‘I think I’ve officially found my new favorite color.'”

Becky and Samantha found the dress at a Mother Of x Saks Fifth Avenue shopping event in Minneapolis.

“I had no interest in going to multiple stores for multiple days. This event gave me access to such amazing fashion, and it was fun,” Becky says. “Go with someone you can trust to give you honest feedback. Try colors and styles you normally wouldn’t. Be bold! This will be a core memory for you and your daughter or son.”
The outdoor wedding took place at a charming cidery in a small town north of the Twin Cities with a backdrop of rolling meadows and apple trees.
“How often do you have all the people you love, not just some, but all 200+ in the same space, for the same purpose: to celebrate the beginning of one very special couple,” Becky says. “There was so much love that day. It was pretty powerful, and very humbling We felt so blessed.”
